Traumatic Arterial Injury

Abstract

|
A clinical study was made on ten cases of acute traumatic arterial injuries which were treated in General Surgical Svc. of Capital Army Hospital during the past two years, and immediate repair surgery of the injured artery with its clinical results, particularly of end-to-end anastomosis, is discussed.
An emphasis was made that the results of this type of surgery were found largely dependent upon the following factors; the protection and prevention of the anastomutic site from wound infection and thrombosis,
and duration of the tourniquet applied.
